Dunno why, but I always picture my tipsters sitting in an office somewhere, poring over the form book or doing whatever it is they do to find their selections. Can’t really be like that, can it? I imagine some use their kitchen or dining room table to work at, as I do.
Anyway, it was a poor week last week with most concern being caused by Northern Monkey. A poor Friday and Sunday meant things weren’t great, and for me at least, the current drawdown has reached the 50% of bank mark. This is where the frustration of missing out on winning bets last Saturday really tells. I’m struck with a case of the “If onlys…”
Elsewhere and Bet Alchemist posted a small profit, and Bookiebashing Racing Tracker a small loss. I really shouldn’t get disillusioned. The racing portfolio as a whole is running at an ROI of 22%+ (although this is almost entirely down to the performance of the BB Race Tracker being so bloomin’ extraordinarily good!) which is certainly not to be sniffed at. I guess I just want my guys to do well for their sake as well as mine. Northern Monkey is a good egg, one of the nice guys and who puts in a heck of a lot of work. I don’t like it when someone like that is going through a rough spell.
