So it would transpire that from now until roughly mid-September, Saturdays are looking like a no-bet day. Which is a bit of a problem because Saturday of course, tends to be the busiest betting day of the week,
I play cricket on Saturdays, and in their wisdom the league organization that my club plays within have brought the start time of matches forward an hour. I also coach cricket through the week, including Saturday mornings. So whereas previously getting bets on involved a bit of a mad rush to get home quickly after coaching, sticking down the money and rushing to wherever it was I was playing, now I’ve got no chance. It’s irritating.
The Saturday just gone we had a pre-season friendly match arranged, at the new start time. So I wasn’t able to put the money down on any of the bets from Sports Service 1 or The Poacher that were released that day. And this will be the pattern of things for the next few months. I guess it will likely impact my betting on horses to an even greater extent. There’s not much point in worrying or fretting about it though. Just one of those things. It will be interesting to see just to what exact extent it all effects the amount being bet, my turnover in other words.
I’d better have a good season. Make sacrificing Saturday betting worthwhile!
