I may have gone a bit early last week, in my wholesome praise of the sports portfolio. I’ve been in this game for long enough now to know that tempting the fates is not a bright thing to do.
To be fair, it’s hardly been a disastrous week, with only a couple of points dropped.
There was no win for Sports Service 1 and as a result it’s now on its worst drawdown we’ve seen this year, but before we start with the tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth, some context is required. That drawdown is now at a grand total of 1.7 points. Hardly deserving of a gnash that, is it?
As for The Poacher, well a bit of a mixed week and a small loss overall. Again, nothing disastrous.
So let’s not panic. But at the same time, let’s not do the equivalent of prancing about in front of the Big Cheese of the Betting Gods making the ‘L’ loser sign after a good week. Which is, I think, what I managed to do in last week’s post.
