Augusta looks like a beautiful golf course. I don’t think I ever want to go, just in case it’s one of those places that looks spectacular on television but in real life, less so. A bit like Old Trafford (I’m joking, before all you Man U fans get ants in your pants – although it is a bit of a dump, isn’t it?).
And it will be The Masters that I’ll be watching from Thursday night this week, hopefully with a couple of golfers to cheer on through the final round on Sunday.
As for this last week, it was all pretty quiet with no DP World Tour event taking place. Stakes were relatively low for the week, and it was all just a little low key. The golfing equivalent to the Saturday racing the weekend before Cheltenham.
Annoyingly, Ben Coley tipped the winner at 33/1 in-play. Annoying, because I tend not to back the in-play bets from any of the services. Perhaps I should!
The only service to turn a profit – and that was a very small one – was Weekly Golf Value who found Troy Merritt at 100/1 who placed.
I’m sure this week coming will be a lot more exciting. And let’s hope it’s a lot more profitable too.
