A losing week for the sports portfolio. Not by much, but enough for this section as a whole to start testing the patience. Don’t worry, I can be as patient as not just any Saint, but the Archangel Gabriel himself, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that that patience is never tested. It is.
Everything in context, of course. Both Sports Service 1 and The Poacher have flown this year to date, racking up strong profits. The Poacher is within touching distance of 50% bank growth, and it’s only May. But Scottish Football Income Booster and Sports Service 2 feel like they take a couple of steps forward, and then one or two back again.
Looking at the sports section more broadly, I can see from my figures that my deepest drawdown to date reached less than 10% of the total bank assigned to the Sports services. So not very deep at all. The ROI is currently comfortably above my long term target of 5%, and perhaps I should simply stop whingeing.

The Poacher (40): Staked 182pts, +19.068pts, roi 10.47%, roc 47.67%, High: 19.068pts, CDD: 0pts, Max DD: -9.645pts
Total ROI: 6.96%, ROC: 11.92%.
