eSoccer Edge: About
eSoccer Edge is a service developed by two computer scientists that identifies expected value (EV) in the goal lines for eSoccer matches. This sport is one of the fastest growing global eGaming communities and it saw a considerable acceleration in popularity during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021.
The audience growth that saw the sport flourish has been accompanied by bookmaker interest and sites like Bet365, Bet Victor and Kambi firms offer a wide range of odds for tournaments.
Games are played at rapid speed, with the most popular match ups lasting between 6 and 12 minutes and this means that a fast-moving and well engineered system is needed to track player performance to create tissues for goal expectancy. That is exactly what eSoccer Edge have created, with their algorithm tracking thousands of variables and updating its ratings in real time, meaning that when value opportunities present themselves, they can identify and share them.
The Live Record
eSoccer Edge went live as a paid service at the start of April 2025 with a small group of members in capped groups. These are the results to date in summary form. If you want to see a live record that updates in real time, please visit this page.
Here are the raw numbers that feed into this line graph, with some staking attached to demonstrate how such a high volume service can really drive quite excellent profits. We have members staking at this levels (and beyond) and this level of betting has yet to result in concerted issues with accounts based on feedback and renewals to the service.
The Record Historically
Earlier versions of this model have been live and profitable over the last 4 years. The latest Machine Learning model is the most robust so far with model prediction expected value aligning almost perfectly with actual ROI throughout the 4-year back test. This bet alert summary that contains every single alert that eSoccer Edge recommended before bringing it to the SBC:
*Using Bet365 odds and a flat staking system – each bet = 1 point
This sample shows every bet – would it be feasible to bet on every single one of these? Of course not – but the volume of bets that the system provides allows users to spend whatever time they have available during the day to get on notifications – there are so many opportunities, so it really depends on your personal circumstances to determine how many you can take.
All of the back-testing, proofing and live results can be viewed in real time via this site, with the tabs at the top there to help break things down.
Our Proofing Period
We started dialogue with the eSoccer Edge developers in late 2024 and had a 3-month proofing period where we tracked bets arriving and did ‘spot checks’ to ensure that prices were correct (they were). This then extended to a public facing tracking page for SBC Members to view and use from November right up until today.
When we launched the service for SBC Members we used a ‘bucket’ system, splitting users into 4 groups (AM1, AM2, PM1 & PM2) – this then changed to a similar 24-hour system and you can read our rationale for doing this in the section below.
Our full period of tracking (since November 2024) looks like this (up to 20/03):
Here are the headline figures from the live periods (where SBC Members have had access to the bets):
Bucket Trials 1 (November up to 12/02; click here for more data):
Bucket Trials 2 (13/02 – 20/03; click here for more data):
As you can see, these smaller samples have variance within them, with the first ‘live’ period for followers averaging out below the long-term ROI and the latter settling above it. What is key is that both 1,000+ bet samples produced solid profits despite these short-term ups and downs and the developers provided regular updates via the Service Updates page to let followers know what was going on during these peaks and troughs.
Building A Sustainable Service
Our collective vision for this service is something akin to the bet delivery (and performance) of a service like the SBC Hall Of Fame rated Chasing Steamers or another Premium Service that we work with, Monetos.
Although there are obvious differences between those offerings and this one, there are also similarities or things to consider:
- With the aforementioned services, bets are delivered with speed in mind – getting on quickly is important
- Chasing Steamers has a large following and bookmakers will see considerable volume placed on similar bets, making it easy to profile players and limit them or close them down
- Monetos’ in-play angle is a massive advantage from a profiling/escaping the bookmakers’ attention point of view as it is seen as recreational
By learning from the benefits and drawbacks of other services’ approaches we have formulated a tipping strategy with two things in mind – profits (obviously!), but also sustainability, something that other offerings can often struggle with. To do this, we:
- Share tips in the minutes before eSoccer games kick off – Alerts are sent out between 3 minutes and 1 minute before each match kicks off. For bet365, a very important piece of advice is that these bets are best taken on the in-play section rather than in the pre-match section. The matches will go up on the in play section a minute or two before they start. The odds will be the same and by betting on the in play section you should fly under the radar and significantly increase your account longevity. Waiting that extra minute or two for the match to come up on the in play section will be worth it to avoid betting on the pre-match section which we understand to be much more closely monitored by bookmaker traders looking for sharp bets!
- Splitting followers into 4 distinct groups – AM1, AM2, PM1 and PM2*. The AM groups will receive tips between 00:00 and 11:59 GMT; the PM groups will receive tips between 12:00 and 23:59 GMT. This means that the volume of bets being placed on the same selections will be reduced dramatically, helping to mask the fact that these bets are coming from a sharp tipster service
- Asking followers to follow some of the steps set out below!
The key with betting on eSoccer in general (from a profiling perspective) is to bet on it just before kick off when the match goes up on the in ‘In Play’ section. This is seen as recreational and is literally why the bookies have eSoccer as an offering – as a ‘quick hit’ to customers in between other bets or when there’s not much other sport on. Betting on the pre game section ahead of the match is much more likely to be seen as sharp as it’s unlikely a recreational punter would be going out of their way to look into eSoccer pre-match.
*In February 2025 we carried out a survey with eSoccer Edge followers and the primary piece of feedback was that the 12 hour windows were restrictive. To remedy this, we kept the four buckets but made them 24-hour groups instead. This means that bets are released in an ‘A-B-C-D’ pattern rather than an ‘A-B’ pattern in the morning and an ‘A-B’ pattern in the afternoon/evening. All 8 groups’ results are available to view here.
January 2025 Update
Our first round of beta testing feedback predominately related to price availability away from Bet365.
To help with this, the developers built code to provide value prices for the goal lines either side of any Asian line so that members can identify value wherever they are betting.
The primary benefit of this addition was the opportunity to bet at lots of different outlets but another secondary benefit is that bet volume would be spread further. This meant that we felt confident to open up further spaces for members knowing that a certain operator in Stoke would not be seeing all of the bets placed.
Variable staking was also introduced during this period, with bigger edges advised with 2, or on some occasions 3, points next to them. Back-testing suggests that this will add to the ROI but either staking system is fine if you would like to stick with a flat investment on each bet. This is what notifications look like:
Who Is This Service For?
Anyone with a soft bookmaker account such as Bet365, Bet Victor or Unibet will be able to follow these selections. Bet365 access will mean that you will be able to get on every bet at the advised prices – the value thresholds included in alerts will allow you to identify and take bets away from the site.
Feedback from users without Bet365 access has been mixed, with some followers from around the world being able to get on at value prices away from Bet365 and others struggling. With this in mind, using a free testing period to see whether value prices are available to you is a good idea before signing up.
These markets are not covered by exchanges, so if your betting is executed solely on a platform like Betfair, you will not be able to take advantage of these alerts.
An Edge & High Bet Volume: A Recipe For Bank Growth
Combining a solid edge with a high bet volume makes eSoccer Edge the perfect candidate for a high bank growth service as demonstrated by these Return On Capital Figures and returns using very modest £10 stakes on each bet:
As mentioned previously, no one is going to be able to bet on every single selection but this demonstrates how potent the combination can be when turning any bank over multiple times each week. This is modelled with a 100-point bank where you would start with just £1,000 – this is obviously a very conservative bank and greater stakes could be deployed with just a fraction of this volume to achieve similar returns.
You can view real-time metrics by points or with realistic staking (e.g. £20 or £50 a point) on this page.
Tips & Tricks
Under the ‘sustainability’ section of this page we mentioned asking users to use selections in a certain way. We can’t guarantee that everyone will, but to make the most of eSoccer Edge, we would recommend the following:
- Bet in the in-play section (if on Bet365), not in the pre-match section: waiting for games to go live is another option – however you play, later is better!
- Don’t stake too heavily: most bookmakers have limits of £100-£200 for eSoccer bets but there is no need to max stake. The volume will allow you to turn a bank over many times each month so staking a little less (on more selections) is the best way to use this service
- Throw the bets into multiples: if you have another bet that you like, putting it in a double with an in-play eSoccer bet will camouflage the fact that you are taking value further. Even neutral (or slightly negative) EV bets could be used to do this
Subscription Options
There are two subscription options available for eSoccer Edge, with both of them limited due to service membership caps. We will not list prices here as they will change each month when a new window opens – a waiting list will soon be set up for those wishing to join. We will always negotiate discounts and have a good relationship with the service’s developers – being a SBC Member will mean that you pay less than other users of the service! Here are the two tiers:
- Battle Silver – half of bets: 50% of bets arrive straight into your Telegram group. Massive volume, but not everything!
- Battle Gold – all bets: every notification will be sent into this group on Telegram, with the volume matching up to the examples provided above. Your bet access here will align perfectly with our results tracking.
eSoccer Edge will always have member caps for each group to protect prices and to prevent saturation, which should help with account longevity and any other activity from bookmakers where they react to similar bets being taken across multiple accounts.
The service uses flexible pricing, with demand and performance determining how much a monthly membership costs. Users from any given month will be given first options for the following month before we open out more spaces to others who want them.
FAQs
Bet Notifications: All bets are sent via Telegram. All you need to do is download the free Telegram App (available on mobile or desktop), we will send you a link and you will be able to join a group where notifications will be shared.
Type of Bets: All bets are singles in the over/under goal lines for eSoccer matches. Currently, the tournaments targeted are normally labelled as ‘BATTLE – 8 mins play’ if you would like to find them on any given bookmaker site.
Bet Release Timing: Bets will be shared in the minutes approaching kick off in the relevant game.
Staking: The majority of our records are based on level staking but the service has recently included an advised stake of between 1-3 points that use if you want to. Back-testing suggests that using a more blended staking system would improve ROI.
Bookmakers/Exchanges: Having access to at least one soft or sharp bookmaker is needed to follow this service. Having multiple options can only be beneficial in finding the best odds and spreading bets across different operators. Those with Bet365 access will be able to get on every bet at value prices; we cannot guarantee that prices will be freely available elsewhere.
