How To Get The Best Out Of The SBC

5 Different Guides For Wherever You Are In Your Betting

Mindful of the fact that each of us are entirely unique when it comes to our individual betting circumstances and requirements, we have put together this guide on how to best use SBC tipsters and services.

Whether you are a total beginner, an experienced bettor or even an established full-time winner, what you look for in a tipster or service will be unique.

This is because the services that suit you will differ based on things like:

  • Budget
  • Experience
  • Time
  • Schedule
  • Bookmakers available
  • Exchanges/brokers available
  • Risk preferences
  • Patience levels
  • Expectations
  • Sporting preferences

We have therefore split this guide into 5 stages designed for distinct groups, namely:

  1. Beginners: for if you are brand new to betting and want to get started following tipsters and other SBC services.
  2. Builders: for if you have set up all of your accounts, have got started with some profitable betting and you want to expand your portfolio to build a larger healthy bank.
  3. Bankers:  for if your banks are working well and you have expanded your portfolio, this stage is ideal if betting account restrictions are starting to bite and you are looking to maximise value from them.
  4. Exchange/Sharp Players: for if you have lost (or are close to losing) all of your bookmaker accounts and you want to start using sharper bookmakers or exchanges to make your profits instead.
  5. Big Bankroll Players: for if you have built a considerable bank and are looking for ways to grow it using exchanges, sharp bookmakers and shops. This stage is for more advanced and experienced bettors.

Hopefully, you will progress through these stages as time moves on. Revisiting this page for the most relevant resources is ideal for when your circumstances change – our bank of tipsters and services will also be regularly updated if you are looking for something new!

Applicable To All

Before we get into the 5 different stages, there are some recommendations that apply to everyone, which in brief are:

  • Get setup properly and explore as much content as possible – particularly the educational materials found within the SBC Fundamentals & Betting Insight sections.
  • As part of the above point – it is vital to make sure you understand key concepts like betting banks and how to handle losing runs. Betting profitably is just like anything else in this world – the more you put in to educating yourself, the more you will get out. This is also important as working out what type of bettor you are will influence which services are best for you.
  • Open as many bookmaker, exchange or broker accounts as possible. Simply put – the more accounts you have open, the better the odds you will be able to take and the greater profits you will make when you win. Multiple accounts are also a great way to build your bank as introductory offers can be extremely lucrative and provide low-risk ways to grow your starting pot.
  • Familiarise yourself with the best odds comparison websites (check out the SBC Recommends section) to make sure you can find the best value odds as quickly as possible before striking your bets.
  • Make sure you have a way of recording your bets as without this, you have no way of knowing how you are faring – good or bad. This is also useful for analysing the services you are following and how their performances compare against each other.

Where Are The Best Tipsters?

A quick note here as well on one key question many of you have: Where you can find the SBC’s best rated tipsters?

There are two places to find the very best betting tipsters:

  1. You can find out those services currently given a ‘Hall of Fame’ rating by reading the very latest Tipster Profit Report PDF. These Reports are updated every few months and contain full details on each of the tipsters we fully recommend and where each tipster stands in our tables. Every tipster also has a designated page in the Tipster Ratings Index – simply find them via the A to Z menu on the left hand side of that page.
  2. You can also find a rundown of high quality tipsters within the SBC Premium Section. A tipster is deemed as ‘Premium’ if they have teamed up with us at SBC to offer their service – either exclusively or with a significant discount or offer.
