eSoccer Edge: About

eSoccer Edge is a service developed by two computer scientists that identifies expected value (EV) in the goal lines for eSoccer matches. This area of sport is one of the fastest growing global communities and it saw a considerable acceleration in popularity during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021.

The audience growth that saw the sport flourish has been accompanied by bookmaker interest and sites like Bet365, Bet Victor and Kambi firms offer a wide range of odds for tournaments.

Games are played at rapid speed, with the most popular match ups lasting between 6 and 12 minutes and this means that a fast moving and well engineered system is needed to track player performance to create tissues for goal expectancy. That is exactly what eSoccer Edge have created, with their algorithm tracking thousands of variables and updating its ratings in real time, meaning that when value opportunities present themselves, they can identify and share them.

The Record

The brains behind the system have used it to make some serious profits over the last 4 years and the amount of value identified can be summarised in this bet alert summary that contains every single bet that eSoccer Edge has ever recommended:

*Using Bet365 odds and a flat staking system – each bet = 1 point

Have eSoccer edge’s founders bet on every single one of these? Of course not – but the volume of bets allows them (or anyone else following) to spend whatever time they have available during the day to get on notifications – there are so many opportunities, so it really depends on your personal circumstances to determine how many you can take.

You can view a detailed breakdown of eSoccer Edge’s results on this page.

Our Proofing Period

We started dialogue with the eSoccer Edge developers in late 2024 and had a 3 month proofing period where we tracked bets arriving and did ‘spot checks’ to ensure that prices were correct (they were!). This then extended to a public facing tracking page for SBC Members to view from November right up until today.

When we launched the service for SBC Members we used a ‘bucket’ system, splitting users into 4 groups (AM1, AM2, PM1 & PM2) – this has since changed to a similar system and you can read our rationale for doing this in the section below.

All of the back-testing, proofing and live results can be viewed in real time via this site, with the tabs at the top there to help break things down.

Building A Sustainable Service

Our collective vision for this service is something akin to the bet delivery (and performance) of a service like the SBC Hall Of Fame rated Chasing Steamers or another Premium Service that we work with, Monetos.

Although there are obvious differences between those offerings and this one, there are also similarities or things to consider:

  • With the aforementioned services, bets are delivered with speed in mind – getting on quickly is important
  • Chasing Steamers has a large following and bookmakers will see considerable volume placed on similar bets, making it easy to profile players and limit them or close them down
  • Monetos’ in-play angle is a massive advantage from a profiling/escaping the bookmakers’ attention point of view as it is seen as recreational

By learning from the benefits and drawbacks of other services’ approaches we have formulated a tipping strategy with two things in mind – profits (obviously!), but also sustainability, something that other offerings can often struggle with. To do this, we:

  • Share tips in the minutes before eSoccer games kick off – Alerts are sent out between 3 minutes and 1 minute before each match kicks off. For bet365, a very important piece of advice is that these bets are best taken on the in-play section rather than in the pre-match section. The matches will go up on the in play section a minute or two before they start. The odds will be the same and by betting on the in play section you should fly under the radar and significantly increase your account longevity. Waiting that extra minute or two for the match to come up on the in play section will be worth it to avoid betting on the pre-match section which we understand to be much more closely monitored by bookmaker traders looking for sharp bets!
  • Splitting followers into 4 distinct groups – AM1, AM2, PM1 and PM2*. The AM groups will receive tips between 00:00 and 11:59 GMT; the PM groups will receive tips between 12:00 and 23:59 GMT. This means that the volume of bets being placed on the same selections will be reduced dramatically, helping to mask the fact that these bets are coming from a sharp tipster service
  • Asking followers to follow some of the steps set out below!

*In February 2025 we carried out a survey with eSoccer Edge followers and the primary piece of feedback was that the 12 hour windows were restrictive. To remedy this, we kept the four buckets but made them 24-hour groups instead. This means that bets are released in an ‘A-B-C-D’ pattern rather than an ‘A-B’ pattern in the morning and an ‘A-B’ pattern in the afternoon/evening. All 8 groups’ results are available to view here.

January 2025 Update

Our first round of beta testing feedback predominately related to price availability away from Bet365.

To help with this, the developers built code to provide value prices for the goal lines either side of any Asian goal line so that members could identify value wherever they are betting.

The primary benefit of this addition was the opportunity to bet at lots of different outlets but another secondary benefit is that bet volume would be spread further. This meant that we felt confident to open up further spaces for members knowing that a certain operator in Stoke would not be seeing all of the bets placed!

Who Is This Service For?

Anyone with a soft bookmaker account such as Bet365, Bet Victor or Unibet will be able to follow these selections. Bet365 access will mean that you will be able to get on every bet at the right prices – the value thresholds included in alerts will allow you to identify and take bets away from the site.

Nearly all bookmakers have an offering on eSoccer of some kind but Bet365 are guaranteed to have every bet (the EV is calculated against their prices), Bet Victor have an extensive offering and all Kambi providers have wide coverage too (BetMGM, BetRivers and plenty more fall under that umbrella).

You can use the beta testing to sample the bets against the outlets you have available, with some sharp bookmakers also pricing up the goal lines on these sports.

These markets are not covered by exchanges, so if your betting is executed solely on a platform like Betfair, you will not be able to take advantage of these alerts.

An Edge & High Bet Volume: A Recipe For Bank Growth

Combining a solid edge with a high bet volume makes eSoccer Edge the perfect candidate for a high bank growth service as demonstrated by these Return On Capital Figures and returns using very modest £10 stakes on each bet:

As mentioned previously, no one is going to be able to bet on every single selection but this demonstrates how potent the combination can be when turning any bank over multiple times each week. This is modelled with a 100-point bank where you would start with just £1,000 – this is obviously a very conservative bank and greater stakes could be deployed with just a fraction of this volume to achieve similar returns.

Tips & Tricks

Under the ‘sustainability’ section of this page we mentioned asking users to use selections in a certain way. We can’t guarantee that everyone will, but to make the most of eSoccer Edge, we would recommend the following:

  • Bet in the in-play section (if on Bet365), not in the pre-match section: waiting for games to go live is another option – however you play, later is better!
  • Don’t stake too heavily: most bookmakers have limits of £100-£200 for eSoccer bets but there is no need to max stake. The selection volume will allow you to turn a bank over many times each month so staking a little less (on more selections) is the best way to use this service
  • Throw the bets into multiples: if you have another bet that you like, putting it in a double with an in-play eSoccer bet will camouflage the fact that you are taking value further. Even neutral (or slightly negative) EV bets could be used to do this

The beta testing phase of the eSoccer project will last for the foreseeable future as we plan to make small adjustments based on customer feedback. In exchange for that feedback, we are offering it for free to SBC Members. We will be building the customer base carefully so as not to spook the market and plan not to have too many followers in each ‘bucket’ for the reasons outlined above.

To check for membership spaces – simply login to the SBC website with your member credentials and re-visit this page to learn how to request to join eSoccer Edge. Note – Details on how to join only appear if logged in with a paid SBC membership.

FAQs

Bet Notifications: All bets are sent via Telegram. All you need to do is download the free Telegram App (available on mobile or desktop), get a link from Josh and you will be able to join a group where notifications will be shared.

Type of Bets: All bets are singles in the over/under goal lines for eSoccer matches. Currently, the tournaments targeted are normally labelled as ‘BATTLE – 8 mins play’ if you would like to find them on any given bookmaker site.

Bet Release Timing: Bets will be shared in the minutes approaching kick off in the relevant game. We advise waiting for the games to go in play before betting on them.

Staking: All of our records are based on level staking but you could adapt this to a unit win strategy if you wanted to. The edges at different odds are similar.

Bookmakers/Exchanges: Having access to at least one soft or sharp bookmaker is needed to follow this service. Having multiple options can only be beneficial in finding the best odds and spreading bets across different operators.
