Why did you join the Smart Betting Club?
Prior to joining the SBC I bet only for fun, to give me an interest in the match or race i was watching. My main types of bet were big acca’s at the weekend and sticking a pin in the paper to pick a lucky 15 at Cheltenham. The SBC introduced me to people who actually knew what they were talking about and had a genuine edge over the bookie, which is the main reason i joined the SBC.

The main way that the SBC has helped me is that it’s introduced me to tipsters who enable me to make a profit year on year. Without the SBC it would have been unlikely that I’d have stumbled across these people on my own. However, the SBC does more than just suggest tipsters to follow. It has broadened my knowledge of betting significantly and has raised my awareness on account restrictions, staying under the bookies radar, the meaning of value, betting banks, odds movement, importance of record keeping, how to deal with losing runs, not getting carried away when going through good spells etc. Knowledge of all of these little things combine to enable you to turn a profit long term. Without this understanding it’ll be pretty difficult to become a long term winner.
What do you like most about the Smart Betting Club service?
My favourite aspect of the SBC is actually Rowan’s Bet Diary. Trying to make money following a portfolio of tipsters has plenty of ups and downs and it isn’t as simple as receiving tips, putting bets on and becoming rich. The bet diary gives you an insight into how someone else in the same position copes with these ups and downs. The things i’ve learned from Rowan have been invaluable. The SBC Magazines and Tipster Profit Reports are excellent and contain everything you need to consider when choosing a tipster to follow.

What are your betting plans for the future?
For the past 4-5 years my betting has produced enough profit to pay for some family holidays each year, however the past year or so has been my most successful yet. This has allowed me to add more tipsters and raise stakes which will help in achieving the long term goal of turning betting into a regular 2nd income that at least matches my annual salary each year.
