Public voting has now opened for the Smart Betting Club’s 2023 Tipster & Betting Awards and we want your help to highlight the best (and worst) of the betting and tipping industry from the last 12 months.
Our 2023 Awards are bigger and better than ever as you can now vote for both your best & worst bookmaker alongside your favourite betting podcasts, websites, videos, writers & tipsters. Your favourite Independent Bookmaker has also been added as a new category this year.

This year there are 3 prizes to be won simply for casting your vote. They are:

Voting itself should take no more than 3 minutes of your time and will help us highlight those companies and people doing the right (and wrong!) thing by you and punters generally.
Perhaps it’s the bookmaker or betting exchange offering the best odds and service or even the betting website providing a superb resource for punters.
And, as we know, not all bookies play fair – you can also nominate your worst bookmaker from over the last 12 months to help us expose the firm that let you down the most. Perhaps they restricted your stakes, closed your account or simply offered the worst odds and service going. If so, we want to know who they are!
We also have categories to recognise your favourite betting podcasts, data resources, writers, experts, video producers and free tipsters alongside a new category for 2023 for something we have been doing a lot of work on – Independent bookmakers.
All told, it’s an excellent way to really highlight the people, sites and services making a difference to your betting!

A Truly ‘Ordinary Punter’ Representative Awards
These Awards are important as they are based on the fundamental SBC principles of honesty, fairness and independence, with no bookmaker affiliations or advertising budgets to cloud opinions.
They represent the true judgement of the general betting public and SBC members on what is out there of merit in the betting world and is worthy of greater recognition.
They reward those websites, services, bookmakers and individuals doing the right thing – whether it be in the information or resource they provide OR by simply offering you the best place to bet itself.
It’s not just the ‘best of’ in our sights either as we are not afraid to name and shame the worst bookmakers through these awards, as many of them still treat punters as second-class citizens, especially those shrewd enough to make money betting. If a bookmaker has annoyed or frustrated you – you can vote for them in our worst bookmaker category.
So, if you want to help reward the best and expose the worst- make sure you cast your votes now!
