I hate a negative title, but this Bet Diary feature is supposed to reflect the realities of betting and the sad fact is that it cannot always be sweetness and light. My growing concern is over Northern Monkey.
Now let me be 100% clear. I am NOT concerned about Wayne’s ability as a tipster. What I AM concerned about is misrepresenting him in these posts. The fact is my drawdown is pretty deep – over 70% of the 80 point betting bank allocated to the service. BUT, and it is a big but…that wouldn’t be the case had I not missed a lucrative day not so long ago that netted a big number of points (40ish, if I remember correctly, which admittedly I may not be but I’m pretty sure it was there or thereabouts). That wasn’t Wayne’s fault, it was mine. And ‘fault’ is perhaps too harsh a word. I was enjoying a couple of days off and away living it up with my lovely, but long-suffering, wife. I had deliberately chosen to switch off completely from betting so that the time we spent together was totally relaxing and I did the only decent thing which was to be properly present during our mini-break. Some things, like The Arsenal, I suppose the kids (now that they’ve grown up and beyond the nicely dependent stage), and definitely the missus are more important than betting ever will be.
But those who come to read the Bet Diary, and see my figures for NMP may not make that connection. And that is doing Wayne and what he does and how he performs a real disservice.
So what do I do? After all, these pages are supposed to represent and chronicle my experiences, and my results. But at the same time I don’t feel I’m being fair.
In the meantime, I’m just hoping NMP hits another big day, and that this time I’m on. And to be perfectly honest, if that were to happen my first thought won’t be for my own gain.
